Tamil Nadu maritime board is planning to develop a new port at Cuddalore.

Investors invited for developing Tamil Nadu Cuddalore Port

The Tamil Nadu government is inviting private investors for developing and maintaining the Cuddalore Port for a concession period of 50 years.

For infrastructure development of the port, the state government has already invested ₹159crore.

The Union government has approved ₹135 crore expansion of the Cuddalore port which got the environment and Coastal Clearance (CRZ) clearances.

Cargo potential at the Cuddalore port is projected at 13MMTPA
